Hello fellow readers and welcome to mikemac10.com. While working on the site a lot of people asked me and question why the number 10? I decided to answer this on my home page.

The first reason is simple, the number 10 is my favorite number and always brought me good things. I have always loved the game of lacrosse and through high school I wore the number 10. As high school progressed I became one of the captains of the team and we won a state championship. Wearing the number 10 then, I always decided that I would use it as part of my name.

The #10 would not escape me in high school. During high school I realized that my graduation year would be 2010. This is unique for someone to graduate from college the year of their favorite number. Coincidence? I think not! Some people ask why use it in my name though? Well, the people at Texas Instruments use their graduation year in the items they create. I thought this was interesting and I would do that for myself. Also, my college name has 10 letters in both words.

What is important is I used this name because it seperates me from other designers. Creativity and an image is important, and I felt most people would use the name "mikemac". If I called myself "THE Mike Mac" I'd seem full of myself. We all must find our own name to seperate from the crowd as designers. Mine is with my number
